Detroit To End Bankrupcy, Emergency Manager Done With Work

DETROIT, MI (WLNS) – In Detroit there will not be a need for an emergency manager anymore and that is exactly what Kevyn Orr wants to see.

He has been serving as emergency manager, to lift Detroit out of their massive financial hole.

He says the city will no longer need him once it officially exits bankruptcy.

A court hearing is scheduled for Monday to determine the exact day the motor city gets out.

That means Orr’s job will be done, once the court approves the date.

He says he will give up his position sometime after the hearing.
