LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Crime Stoppers of mid-Michigan is asking for the public’s help as they search for information in three cases.
Case 1 – On Saturday, July 5, 2014 officers responded to a hit and run incident on S. Cedar St. between Hamilton and Paris Streets in Lansing. Witnesses say while a person was crossing the street and older green SUV traveling at a high speed hit the victim. According to witnesses the SUV did not stop and continued driving northbound on Cedar Street. Case 2 – On Monday, June 16, 2013 officers responded to a call of shots fired at a night club in the 5900 block of S. Pennsylvania in Lansing. Officers discovered that Christopher Michael Goins, 21, had been shot while leaving the night club. Goins was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police are asking for assistance in the investigation of this homicide. Case 3 – On Tuesday, July 29, 2014 officers responded to a breaking and entering complaint at a salvage yard in the 3900 block of Canal Rd. in Delta Twp. Employees found that while the business was closed an unknown person or people entered the yard, jacked up a number of vehicles and cut off the catalytic converters.
