Shelby Miller

Shelby Miller joined the 6 News team in February 2013 as a reporter/video journalist. Born and raised in Michigan, she says it's an honor to bring you the news from our state capitol.

Shelby discovered her passion for television news at an early age — in fifth grade — where she anchored the morning announcements and became captivated by the excitement of investigating, writing and broadcasting news stories.

Her pursuit of a career in broadcasting led her to Central Michigan University, where Shelby received dual degrees in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts and English and a minor in Journalism. She worked as a reporter, anchor and producer at CMU's News Central 34 and also wrote for the university newspaper, Central Michigan Life. Shelby also completed internships at WJBK-TV (Fox 2 Detroit) and our very own

Shelby has received multiple awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, the National Broadcasting Society and the Central Michigan University Talent Scholarship.
