One of downtown Lansing's most exciting locales is ready to make a fun “impression” on you. It's the all new and improved Impression Five Science Center in downtown Lansing.
“What you will see here is the new Build Zone with a variety of centers and activities in which visitors, young and older, can make stuff together. It's about imaginative play and we've created many ways for them to build together, explore together and learn together in our brand new Build Zone,” said Director of innovation and planning Micaela Balzar.
But the build zone isn't the only section ofI -5 with a new look.
“We also have the My Nature exhibit and that gives everyone a chance to see up close how nature works, from our build a plant center to the stand-a-lone pods that feature information on ponds, wildlife, birds, even live fish you can see swimming around up close. It's so important to make education, especially science and nature, interactive and fun and we do that here.”
You can also “pop” over to a familiar exhibit now bubbling over with a new look and more interactive set-up.
“Our updated Pop exhibit is more than just playing with bubbles. We wanted to focus on kids creating bubbles and asking questions like why do they always form in a sphere, why do they come in so many different sizes… things like that. And of course we wanted to let them have fun, which is very easy to do here.
If you'd like to check out the new and improved Impression Five Science Center, it's located on Museum Drive in downtown Lansing next to the Riverwalk Theatre and R.E. Olds museum. For tickets, times and special shows and exhibits, you can also visit their website.
